Dr. Oluwasayo Akinyosoye
Dr. Oluwasayo Akinyosoye, also known as Dr. Sayo, is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine with a distinction in research in 2018. After completing her rigorous residency training at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in 2021, Dr. Sayo's passion for public health and preventative care has only continued to grow.
Dr. Sayo is also a distinguished graduate of Tulane University, where she obtained a Master of Science in Public Health. With an unwavering commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Sayo worked as a hospitalist at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, where she gained extensive clinical experience in managing complex medical cases.
Currently, Dr. Sayo serves on the board of the Detroit Cancer Screening Initiative (DCSI), an organization dedicated to promoting cancer screening and reducing cancer-related mortality and morbidity in Southeast Michigan. With a special interest in hypertension, diabetes, obesity, COPD, and heart failure, Dr. Sayo brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to her patients.
Dr. Sayo takes a holistic approach to patient care, striving to develop a unique treatment plan for each patient based on their individual health goals. By staying up-to-date on the latest research and employing evidence-based medicine, Dr. Sayo is able to provide the highest level of care to her patients. With her compassionate and respectful approach to patient care, she treats her patients like she would treat her own family members.
When she is not attending to her patients, she enjoys running, dancing, reading, and spending time with loved ones. Dr. Sayo is excited to join the Rose Medicine family and is dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients.
